Free Caregiver Command Center

When someone you love needs care, the details scatter across texts, sticky notes, and three people's heads. This workbook puts it in one place: what needs attention today, who owns each task, and what the next caregiver needs to know. Use the Excel workbook or a Google Sheets copy the whole family can share. Free. No email required.

Works in Excel, Numbers, and Google Sheets.

What it tracks

  • What needs attention now: overdue tasks, refills due in 7 days, visits with no ride, missing papers

  • Medications copied from the label, with refill dates that fill in for you

  • Appointments, who is driving, questions to ask, and what you learned

  • Tasks with one owner each, plus a care log so nobody is out of the loop

  • Powers of attorney, releases, and where each paper is kept

  • Care costs, who paid, and what should come back

How to start

  1. Open Start Here, then read How to Use. It takes two minutes.

  2. Add everyone helping on Care Team. Their names fill every "who" dropdown.

  3. Fill in what you know on Profile and Medications. Leave the rest for later.

  4. Add visits and tasks, then print the Handoff page for the next caregiver.

Sharing with family

The Google Sheets copy is the easy way for several people to work from one list. Make your copy, then share it with your Care Team.

Help keep this accurate

If something is outdated, works differently in your state, or is missing, send me a note. Include the tool name, what to change, and a source if you have one. Please never include Social Security numbers, account numbers, or medical details.

The fine print

This is an unofficial planning and organization aid. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice. Follow the directions from the doctor and the pharmacy label, and check with a professional before making care, legal, or money decisions.
